About Me

ABOUT ME

Hi! My name is Alison and  I am passionate about life long learning, however I know from experience that sometimes lessons can be far from engaging. As a student I sat in lectures that were entirely PowerPoint based and quite literally fell asleep at my desk. These experiences made me determined that the same fate would not be bestowed upon my own students. When I worked as a Post Doctoral Research Fellow at the University of Stirling, I was responsible for the supervision of a number of  BSc and MSc student research projects. I developed training manuals that were easy to read and simple to understand. Today I have taken learning delivery to another level, through the development of compelling and interactive e-learning resources and paper based worksheets and games to support learning.

I have achieved a PGCE with QTS in secondary biology with science (achieving a distinction) and completed my Masters in Education in Childhood Practice at Glasgow University in June 2015 and an Open Access Diploma in Science (Biology, Chemistry and Physics) in January 2017 (triple distinction). More recently I have completed the Level 3 Forest School's Leader Training (2020) and the National Award for Special Educational Needs Coordination (2021).

All of my resources are available for FREE from my TES shop. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you want any additional information.  I look forward to hearing from you soon.
